Fear Poem: Ocean

Ocean
Dark and mysterious
Full of the unknown
Creatures never seen
Legends of the deep

Blacker than night
There is no moon to shine
Hunters carry the only light

I fear the day
When I go down
Surrounded by darkness
Trapped in immobility
Able to do nothing more than wait
Easy prey to the hunters of the deep

Creatures that will never see the light of day
Living
Thriving
Growing
Waiting for a chance

A chance to tear
To seize
To rend
To devour
To end me

I will not venture to the deep

  1. This has great rhythm and again, feels like it would be a great piece illustrated. well crafted. I like the last line. I was wondering...if you had scuba dove before or if you were of the opposite ideal.

  2. I have never gone scuba diving, and hopefully never will. The ocean freaks me out :P
